Selangor MB six year itch Politics might undergo a sea change PAS will lose big

Aziz and Hadi Show

Tan Sri Muhammad Muhammad a PAS man  Politics might undergo a sea change PAS will lose big
The sudden surge in PAS’s electoral fortunes has caused some consternation in the which party President Abdul Hadi Awang headsPolitical observers see a possible clash between the pro-ulama and Erdogan factions with both sides said to be of equal strength in terms of numbers. Those expected at the meeting include Mohamad, Secretary-General Mustafa Ali, Nasrudin Hassan, Nik Abduh Nik Aziz, Hanipa Maidin and the three Vice-Presidents Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.
Salahuddin Ayub and Husam Musa. The Erdogan group, whose leaning is towards Pakatan Rakyat, is likely to reject moves by the pro-ulama faction who is said to be intent for PAS to leave the opposition front.

“But when the leaders choose to make themselves bidders at an auction of popularity, their talents, in the construction of the state, will be of no service. They will become flatterers instead of legislators; the instruments, not the guides, of the people. If any of them should happen to propose a scheme of liberty, soberly limited, and defined with proper qualifications, he will be immediately outbid by his competitors, who will produce something more splendidly popular. Suspicions will be raised of his fidelity to his cause. Moderation will be stigmatized as the virtue of cowards; and compromise as the prudence of traitors; until, in hopes of preserving the credit which may enable him to temper, and moderate, on some occasions, the popular leader is obliged to become active in propagating doctrines, and establishing powers, that will afterwards defeat any sober purpose at which he ultimately might have aimed.”

Pakatan will win and PAS will not obtain any votes. If there is an election in Selangor, I feel PAS will lose at least 10 seats,PAS should not take the easy way out and leave the Pakatan Rakyat coalition as that would cause the Islamist party to suffer a huge defeat in Selangor, said Tan Sri Muhammad Muhammad Taib.PAS had taken a different stand from its allies, PKR and DAP, in the Selangor menteri besar crisis by insisting on nominating more than one name to replace Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.
This was despite PR's stand in endorsing only one candidate, PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, for the state's top post.

The Royals across the country love to say how they have the interests of the rakyat at heart and all that other mushy stuff. If this is a fact and not some self-serving statement, then the Sultan of Selangor should postpone his trip overseas and ensure that the Selangor crisis is resolved according to the Law and in a transparent fashion.
Sultan of Selangor and Khalid
It is as simple and plain a truism as someone saying that all politicians are opportunists.  the political spectrum to pause and reassess.

Khalid ib3
A Recalcitrant take a bow, Khalid. You are officially a one-of-a-kind politician. You have been sacked from your political party, are unwanted by two of the three component parties in Pakatan Rakyat, do not seem to enjoy the support of the State Exco but yet believe that you should remain as the Menteri Besar. The only chaps who are wholeheartedly supporting you belong to UMNO-Barisan Nasional. Surely that is telling
It takes an ambitious man to cripple the administration of the richest state in our country. Because of his over-inflated ego, he has forgotten his pledge to serve the people of Selangor. All his talk about competency, accountability and transparency when he first took office in 2008 as Menteri Besar has come to nothing. It was just a political sweet talk.
In his second term, he began to show his true colours. Soon enough, power got to his head and he began to act without consulting his colleagues in Pakatan, and his own party. His conduct is unbecoming of a man reputed to be a person of integrity and competence.
Khalid Ibrahim has changed. He is today a besieged politician behaving like a wounded tiger who has chosen to deny  his former party’s chosen nominee to succeed him. He has been sacked by his own party, PKR. No man in his right senses will defy the people who felt then that he was right man for the job,  and can get away by flouting party discipline.
Like a real desperado, he goes around to defy his party, lobbies PAS to take his side, and in the process attempts to break the coalition, and goes on a Public relations campaign to seek public support. It is naive of him to expect responsible citizens in Selangor to accept his acts of defiance.
As if this is not enough, Khalid puts HRH The Sultan of Selangor in a quandary over who should be the legitimate Menteri Besar. I personally believe that HRH The Sultan has the wisdom, foresight, and experience to know that he cannot accept Khalid’s view that he ” has support from PAS and UMNO assembly persons”.HRH Tuanku will want to see concrete evidence of the validity of Khalid’s assertion.
BN will support Khalid "without any conditions"......
BN will support Khalid “without any conditions”……
Why does he want to cling to his present job? What is the deal? And with whom? These are unanswered questions which Khalid himself is not prepared to answer. If he is very confident that has the support of state assembly persons and wants to clear his name, Khalid should convene a special session of DUN (Dewan Undangan Negeri) Selangor to debate a motion of no confidence against him, since he has under the Selangor Constitution the power to convene such an assembly seating.
Will he do it? No. I think he loathes to do it because this arrogant  man is not sure of his chances of retaining his post. In the meantime, if the present crisis persists, Selangor will be on auto-pilot. That is indeed a comedy, and a tragedy.
Former federal court judge Datuk Abdul Kadir Sulaiman said Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim could advise the ruler to hold an emergency session.

"Alternatively, the assemblymen could petition the speaker to hold one, the speaker could then seek an audience with the ruler to convene the meeting," he said.Kadir, who is also a former member of the Terengganu Regency Council, said the first agenda would be the taking of a no-confidence vote against Khalid.
"If Khalid is defeated, the house could proceed to hold a confidence vote to determine who among the assemblymen had the confidence of their colleagues to be the next MB."Kadir said the floor of the assembly was the appropriate forum to decide the matter, despite the 2010 Federal Court ruling in Nizar v Zambry, which stated the measure of confidence in potential MB could also be determined outside the house.Khalid could then convey the results of the assembly meeting for the Sultan to appoint his successor,

PAS chief admits offering Azmin MB pos state government with Umno was to be formed, as 13 PAS assemblymen in unity govt with Umno
PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang yesterday told a stunned central committee meeting that he had offered Azmin Ali to join the Islamist party with a few of his PKR members to form a unity government with Umno in Selangor.
But, the meeting was told that PKR deputy president Azmin had turned down the offer.
A PAS central committee member, who attended yesterday's meeting, said Hadi confirmed this when Sepang MP Hanipa Maidin asked him about it, which led to a heated exchange between the two.
The PAS central committee member told The Malaysian Insider that Hadi confirmed he offered the menteri besar position to Azmin in order for a pact to be formed between PAS assemblymen, Umno and embattled MB Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.
"If PKR can steal PAS assemblymen, then PAS can also do the same," Hadi had allegedly said.
The same PAS member then asked what was the meeting with Azmin about, to which Hadi said that he had asked the Bukit Antarabangsa assemblyman to join the party along with two or three other PKR assemblymen.
Hadi was also asked how the state government with Umno was to be formed, as 13 PAS assemblymen along with Azmin and two other PKR members would only make 16 assemblyman in the 56-seat state assembly.
Before Hadi could answer, another PAS member asked him if he was agreeable with cooperating with Umno.
The PAS president said "yes", adding that it was to protect the Malays.
This was revealed in a Facebook message which was being circulated, which the PAS central committee member confirmed to The Malaysian Insider.
Azmin, when met by reporters at the recent PKR Congress, had admitted that he had a discussion with the PAS president a couple of days before that. (It was later confirmed to be August 20).
One of the things they had talked about, Azmin said, was about the Pengkalan Kubor by-election.
The Malaysian Insider had reported that in the central committee meeting yesterday, Hadi had insisted that Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail be removed as a candidate for the MB post, as she was a woman and was also not qualified.
Hadi's stand yesterday contradicted his earlier statement when he himself had suggested Dr Wan Azizah and Azmin to be presented to the Sultan of Selangor as candidates for the MB post.
Azmin, however, was rejected by the 13 PAS assemblymen at the meeting yesterday.
Selangor PAS reps Saari Sungib (Hulu Klang) and Hasnul Baharudin (Morib) had broken away from the party's consensus to declare their support for Dr Wan Azizah in order to save the Pakatan Rakyat state government.
In a press conference after the PAS central committee meeting yesterday, Mustafa told reporters that PAS has decided to leave it to the wisdom of the Sultan of Selangor to determine the Selangor menteri besar position.
Hadi's a tight lid on infighting and internal power struggles before they get out of hand.Outburst Growing discontent with PAS leader may blow up at its AGM next month.
